JENNIE COSARES

Hi, I'm Jennie, the co-founder of Peaceful Paths Retreats, a yoga instructor and retreat leader with a passion for sharing the transformative power of yoga.  Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, I felt a deep longing for a more meaningful and connected way of living. At 16, I discovered yoga asana, which sparked a journey of self-discovery and spiritual exploration. As I delved deeper into the philosophy and lifestyle of yoga, I found a sense of connection to myself and the world around me that had been missing.

Over the past 9 years, I've been fortunate to study with inspiring teachers and communities, including the Kadampa center in New York, where I learned the principles of Tibetan Buddhism. My travels have taken me to yoga retreats and ashrams in Cambodia, Thailand, and Peru, where I've had the privilege of teaching and learning from others.

As a yoga instructor, I've been teaching for 5 years, specializing in hatha, vinyasa, yin, and nidra yoga. My approach is rooted in the principles of Bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion, which I believe has the power to awaken the heart and connect us to our true nature. I'm also a passionate singer and chant leader, and I've had the joy of sharing kirtan with communities around the world.

For me, yoga is not just a physical practice, but a way of life that inspires creativity, compassion, and connection to the natural world. I believe that by immersing ourselves in nature and cultivating a deeper sense of awareness, we can tap into the infinite energy source that surrounds us and discover a profound sense of peace and unconditional love.

I'm excited to share this journey with you, and I look forward to welcoming you to the indful Mountain retreat in Peru.

MATEO PRELLE

Hello, I'm Mateo, co-founder of Peaceful Paths Retreats. Growing up, I was fortunate to have a mother who was a yoga teacher, and she introduced me to the practice at a young age. This early exposure to yoga sparked a curiosity in me that would eventually blossom into a lifelong passion.

As I grew older, my interest in yoga deepened, and I spent time studying meditation, pranayama, and yoga philosophy in my homeland of Peru. It was during this time that I discovered kirtan and bhakti yoga, which resonated deeply with me. The combination of music, movement, and devotion felt like a natural fit.

When I'm not immersed in yoga, you can find me hiking in the mountains or tending to my garden. As a self-proclaimed nature nerd, I believe that the natural world has a profound impact on our well-being, and I'm committed to creating retreats that allow people to connect with the land and with themselves.

I'm excited to share my passion for yoga and nature with you, and I invite you to join me on a journey of growth, discovery, and connection. Through Peaceful Paths Retreats, I aim to create a supportive community that fosters a deeper sense of awareness, compassion, and understanding.

OUR STORY

Our stories both started with the awareness that the lifestyle we've lived served its purpose and the soul is asking for something more aligned. Our paths guided us to yoga and mindfulness and eventually to the Sacred Valley of Peru where we met. Our story has had so many twists and turns but one constant was our devotion to spirit and service. This retreat reflects the lives we live today, and shows the possibility of living a life with intention.

INCLUSIVITY

At our yoga retreat, we're dedicated to creating a sanctuary that's open to all. We believe that yoga is a universal language that can be spoken by everyone, regardless of background, identity, or experience. Our goal is to break down barriers and challenge the stereotype that yoga is only for a select few. Our teachers are passionate about crafting a nurturing environment where you can explore your practice without fear of judgment or expectation. We're committed to fostering a sense of belonging and connection for all where you can breathe, be yourself, and deepen your yoga journey with empathy, compassion, and understanding. We believe that inclusivity is about embracing individuality and creating a safe space for everyone to practice in their own way. This means feeling empowered to take breaks, modify postures, or opt out of certain movements that don't serve your body or spirit. Not every practice, philosophy, or pose will resonate with everyone, and that's perfectly okay. You are more than your asana practice
